Affordable housing development

Housing that families can afford and hold onto.

We acquire land and neglected buildings and develop quality, affordable multifamily homes, built to last for generations, not just to sell.

About us

A development company built to outlast its founder.

Legacy Land Development Group LLC is a real estate development company focused on affordable, multifamily housing. We take vacant lots and underused buildings that neighborhoods have given up on and turn them into safe, well-built homes.

The name is the mission. Every project is designed as something a family, a neighborhood, and our own company can build on for decades.

Our focus

Two- to four-unit and small multifamily buildings, from rehabilitation of existing structures to ground-up infill construction.

Our approach

Disciplined numbers, licensed and insured teams, and quality that stands up to inspection.

Our goal

A growing portfolio of well-managed homes that stay affordable and stay in good repair.

What we do

From empty lot to finished home.

We handle each stage of the development process, so owners, lenders, and communities deal with one accountable team.

Land & property acquisition

We look for vacant lots, distressed buildings, and underused property, from private owners, public land programs, and off-market sources.

Development & construction

Rehabs and new builds delivered through vetted, licensed, and insured contractors, with permits, inspections, and budgets managed from start to finish.

Long-term ownership

We hold much of what we build as quality rental housing, and sell select projects to fund the next one. Professionally managed, kept in good repair.

Product concept

Our starting design: the 25-foot two-flat.

Two spacious three-bedroom, two-bath homes (about 1,050 sq ft each) on one narrow lot, with separate entrances, in-unit laundry, and an optional rear garage. It is the starting point for our infill projects.

How we work

Discipline is how affordable housing gets finished.

Good intentions do not pass inspection. These are the rules we hold every project to.

01

Numbers before commitments

Every opportunity is scored against written criteria for cost, income, and risk before we commit a dollar.

02

Licensed and insured, every time

We only build with contractors who carry the proper licenses and insurance, and who can show us their references.

03

Built to last

Quality materials, permitted work, and inspections at every stage. Housing that lasts is housing that stays affordable to maintain.

04

Systems, not guesswork

Documented processes and clear roles mean projects keep moving, and the company keeps running, regardless of who is on the job.
